Tragedy struck in Rizoma, Rodopi, on Friday as a house fire claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy. Emergency services reported that the child was found unresponsive during the firefighting operation.

A 5-year-old sibling and their father were also injured and are currently in critical condition at a local hospital.

Eight firefighters with three vehicles responded to the incident, and an ambulance from the National Emergency Center (EKAB) transported the victims for medical care.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The local community is mourning the loss while hoping for the recovery of the surviving family members.
