The Athens Pride 2026 celebrations reached their peak on Saturday, June 13, with the Pride March taking place in central Athens under the main message “It Concerns You” (“Σε Αφορά”).
The march began with the impressive unveiling of a 30-meter rainbow flag, as participants filled the streets of the Greek capital. Drumming groups Batala, Quilombo and Dançauê provided the rhythm for the floats and crowds during the procession.
Organizers said this year’s event represents both a celebration and a space for advocacy, highlighting the continued struggles and exclusions experienced by LGBTQI+ people, particularly transgender, non-binary and intersex individuals.
The Pride March centered around Syntagma Square, where the celebrations continued with a music program featuring DJs Até and Salin. The evening was set to conclude with a main concert after the return of the march.
The closing event was presented by Andromeda Balls and Christina Voulgari, with performances expected from artists including Matoula Zamani, Dimitris Samolis and Black Unit, along with live shows and a special surprise appearance on stage.
