A man in Crete was injured when an electronic cigarette exploded in his mouth shortly after being unplugged from its charger.
According to reports, the device detonated as soon as he attempted to use it. The force of the blast propelled the e-cigarette across the room, where it struck and ignited a curtain.
The man was first treated at a Hospital on the islands before visiting his dentist to address the damage. His gums were severely burned, and he is now experiencing difficulty opening his mouth.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about the safety of e-cigarettes and the risks associated with faulty devices or improper charging.
