Greece Announces August and September 2026 Pension Payments

The national social security authority has confirmed the payment schedule for August and September 2026 pensions, with disbursements continuing to follow separate dates for former self-employed and salaried workers.

Greece’s national social security authority (e-EFKA) has announced the payment dates for pensions due in August and September 2026, maintaining its established schedule that separates payments for former self-employed and salaried workers.

August 2026 Pension Payments

Pensions for former self-employed workers will be paid on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. This includes beneficiaries of the former OAEE, OGA and ETAA pension funds, as well as pensions awarded under Greece’s unified social security system following the establishment of e-EFKA. Supplementary pensions for private-sector retirees will also be paid on the same date.

Payments for former salaried workers are scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2026. This covers pensions from the former IKA-ETAM fund, as well as pension schemes for bank employees, OTE telecommunications workers, the Public Power Corporation (DEI), other integrated funds, and maritime workers. Main and supplementary pensions for public-sector retirees will also be paid that day.

September 2026 Pension Payments

For September pensions, former self-employed workers will receive their payments on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The same date applies to pensions awarded under the unified e-EFKA system and to all supplementary pensions for private-sector retirees.

Former salaried workers will receive their September pensions on Friday, August 28, 2026. Payments on that date will also include main and supplementary pensions for public-sector retirees.

The payment schedule continues e-EFKA’s longstanding practice of issuing pensions on different dates depending on the beneficiary’s former employment category.
