Greece’s heating allowance will see its second installment paid by May 29, 2026, following a set schedule for beneficiaries.
The amount households receive depends on their location, family status, and heating type, ranging from 100 to 800 euros, and up to 1,200 euros in regions with very low temperatures. The 2025–2026 allowance covers heating oil, lighting kerosene (blue kerosene), natural gas, LPG, district heating, electricity, as well as firewood and pellets.
Eligibility periods:
• Most fuels: Purchases from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
• Heating oil: Purchases from October 15, 2025, the official distribution start.
• Firewood and pellets: Purchases from June 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Documentation: Receipts for firewood and pellet purchases must be issued by April 15, 2026, and submitted by April 30, 2026.
Next payments:
• Second installment: Covers fuel or energy bought from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026 (or June 1, 2025, for firewood/pellets).
• Third and final installment: For natural gas and district heating users only, covering the same period, to be paid by July 31, 2026.
