A high fire risk warning (risk category 3) has been issued for Monday, affecting large parts of Greece, including Attica, the Peloponnese, as well as regions of Central and Western Greece, and the North Aegean.

According to an announcement by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution and avoid any activity in rural or outdoor areas that could potentially trigger a wildfire.

A high fire risk is forecast for the following areas:

Boetia (Viotia)
Phocis (Fokida)
Phthiotis (Fthiotida)
Corinthia
Argolis
Aetolia-Acarnania
Arta
Preveza
Thesprotia
Lefkada
Magnesia
Larissa
Sporades islands
Thessaloniki
Chalkidiki
Mount Athos
Rhodope
Evros
Samothrace
Lemnos
Lesbos
Chios
Psara
Parts of Achaia and Elis
