The latest wildfire reported in Greece late Tuesday afternoon was reported in a forested area at the Skalohori site on the large eastern Aegean Island of Lesbos (Lesvos).
According to the fire brigade, 32 fire-fighters were dispatched to the scene, with eight vehicles operating, while four water-dropping aircraft were combating the flames before dusk.
The fire-fighting force was also aided by local volunteers and water tankers supplied by local municipalities.
A mini heatwave is forecast for much of Greece over the coming days.
