A violent assault at a private medical clinic in Haidari, a suburb of Athens, has left a man with serious injuries after he asked another individual to lower his voice while speaking on the phone.

According to witness accounts, the incident began when the victim, who was accompanying a woman at the clinic, asked another man to either speak more quietly or continue his phone conversation outside. The man had been talking loudly on two mobile phones inside the waiting area.

The request triggered an immediate and violent response, with the suspect punching and kicking the victim before leaving the scene after police were called.

According to the victim, after police officers documented the incident and left, the suspect waited for him on the building’s staircase and launched a second attack. The victim said his wife and the doctor intervened as the assailant confronted him again.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He said he suffered a black eye and a fractured nasal bone, and underwent medical examinations by specialists and a forensic examiner. He has also filed a criminal complaint with local police.

The victim said he did not know the attacker before the incident but was later able to identify him using information provided by police.

Authorities have identified the suspect and are searching for him. According to the report, the same individual had previously been involved in another assault case for which a complaint had also been filed.
