A rainy weather pattern is expected across Greece on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, with increased cloud cover and localized showers affecting most regions. Sporadic thunderstorms will develop in the southern parts of the country, with the most significant activity forecast for Crete.

Conditions will also be more intense in the Peloponnese, while eastern mainland areas, Evia, and the Sporades islands will see worsening weather from the afternoon onward. Snowfall is expected in mountainous areas of the mainland, which may impact travel in higher elevations.

Temperatures will remain relatively low for this time of year. In Western Macedonia, temperatures will range from -2 to 12°C, while the rest of northern Greece will see lows of -2°C and highs between 13 and 15°C. Epirus will range from 3 to 15–16°C, Thessaly from 3 to 14–15°C, and other mainland areas from 5 to 14–16°C. The Ionian Islands can expect 7 to 15–17°C, while the northern and northeastern Aegean islands will see 6 to 13–15°C. Elsewhere in the Aegean and in Crete, temperatures will range from 7 to 15–17°C.

Winds across the Aegean Sea will blow from the north at 4–5 Beaufort, gradually increasing to 6 Beaufort and locally reaching 7 Beaufort by the evening. In the Ionian Sea, northerly winds will also prevail, reaching up to 5 Beaufort in some areas.

In Athens, cloudy skies are expected, with intermittent rain developing after midday. Snowfall is likely during the evening in the surrounding mountains of Parnitha and Kithairon. Winds will be northerly at 4–5 Beaufort, strengthening to 6 Beaufort in eastern parts later in the day. Temperatures will range from 9 to 15°C.

In Thessaloniki, expect cloudy conditions with occasional light rain. Winds will initially be light but will gradually shift to northerly and northwesterly directions, reaching up to 4 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 7 to 13°C.
