Μake us preferred on Google A group of young people carried out two robberies in central Thessaloniki within 24 hours, targeting two young pedestrians and stealing gold chains bearing crosses, according to Greek police.
Four suspects, ages 15, 16, 17 and 19, were arrested by a police patrol from Greece’s Immediate Action service and referred to judicial authorities in Thessaloniki to provide statements.
Two robberies in central Thessaloniki
According to police, the two robberies took place in the early hours of Wednesday.
The first occurred at the intersection of Agias Theodoras and Agias Sofias streets, while the second was reported on Leoforos Nikis, near Aristotelous Square, a major central square in Thessaloniki.
The suspects threatened the victims, ages 23 and 18, with a knife or physical violence before taking their gold jewelry.
The stolen items were later recovered by police and returned to their owners.
Separate case involving two 23-year-olds
Meanwhile, officers in the Charilaou–Analipsi area formed a case against two 23-year-old men.
According to the police investigation, the two committed two robberies in February 2025 — one at a convenience store and another at a gas station.
A total of €1,074 was reportedly stolen in the two incidents.
