Μake us preferred on Google The owner of Greek food company Violanta, Konstantinos Tziortziotis, was released from prison Tuesday under restrictive conditions pending the regular trial of a case stemming from a fatal workplace accident.
According to trikalavoice.gr, Tziortziotis was released under conditions that will remain in effect until the case goes to trial.
The case concerns a tragic accident in January at Violanta’s central production facility in Trikala, central Greece.
The accident resulted in the deaths of five female workers, shocking the local community and prompting a judicial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Tziortziotis had been held in connection with the case before his release under the restrictive conditions.
The conditions will remain in place until the court proceedings take place.
