A woman in western Greece is recovering after being admitted to intensive care following a snake bite inside her home, according to local reports.
The incident occurred in a village near Agrinio, where the woman reportedly noticed a wound but never saw the reptile responsible for the bite. She later told medical staff that she was unaware of exactly how the incident had happened.
After discovering the injury, she went to Agrinio General Hospital, where she received initial treatment. However, due to the seriousness of her condition and the need for specialized care, doctors decided she should be transferred to the University Hospital of Patras.
The patient was subsequently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for close monitoring and treatment of symptoms related to the snake bite.
According to the latest update from local media, her condition has improved significantly. She has now been discharged from the ICU and is continuing her recovery in a regular hospital ward.
Medical staff continue to monitor her progress as she recovers from the incident.
