Giannis Antetokounmpo’s NBA season has come to an end after the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated from the Eastern Conference playoffs, losing 119–118 away to the Indiana Pacers. With the series ending 4–1, the Bucks are out of contention.

Antetokounmpo delivered yet another triple-double, finishing the game with 30 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in 44 minutes of play, shooting 8/15 on two-pointers, 1/2 from beyond the arc, and 11/17 from the free-throw line.

The Bucks had a 7-point lead with just 45 seconds left in the game, but the Pacers mounted a comeback to secure the win.

At the final buzzer, Tyrese Haliburton’s father enraged Antetokounmpo, causing a disturbance on the court.

In one moment, Antetokounmpo went from hugging Pacers center Myles Turner to charging at Bennedict Mathurin. The Greek star had to be restrained by players and security personnel.

Antetokounmpo wasn’t the only Bucks player involved in the incident. Kevin Porter Jr. was also seen shoving Pacers players even after Mathurin had been removed from the situation by Indiana’s coaching staff.

“I found it extremely disrespectful”

After the incident, Antetokounmpo told reporters that Haliburton’s father came onto the court with a towel bearing his son’s image. “At first, I thought he was just a fan, but then I realized it was Tyrese’s father,” Antetokounmpo said, while making clear that he respects the Pacers guard. “He came onto the court showing me a shirt with his son’s face,” Antetokounmpo continued, before stating that the man also yelled profanities at him. “I found it extremely, extremely disrespectful,” he added.

Even Tyrese Haliburton himself agreed. “I don’t think my dad was in the right,” he said after the game, adding that he plans to speak with both his father and Antetokounmpo about the incident.

Speaking about his own father, Antetokounmpo noted that he was raised with the principle of being “humble in victory.”
