Hundreds marched from Stadiou Street to Syntagma Square, calling for workplace safety, gender equality and justice for the five female factory workers killed in Trikala.

Student and pupil rallies are taking place across Greece today ahead of Saturday’s three-year anniversary of the Tempi railway disaster, with demonstrators calling for accountability.

In Athens, unions will assemble at 6:30 p.m. outside the Ministry of Rural Development and Food in Vathi Square.

Drivers are advised to avoid central Athens as roads will be closed off starting in the afternoon for the Grigoropoulos marches.
