An Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, killed more than 15 people on Monday, according to Palestinian officials. Among the dead were at least three journalists, including a Reuters cameraman.

Officials identified the Reuters cameraman as Hussam al-Masri. Another Reuters contributor, photographer Hatem Khaled, was reported injured in the strike.

The Israeli military and the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Nasser Hospital strike comes as Israeli forces intensify their military campaign, with Netanyahu’s government focusing on the capture of Gaza City in the north of the territory.

The incident adds to growing concerns about the safety of medical facilities and press workers in the conflict. Gaza’s hospitals have repeatedly been caught in the crossfire during months of Israeli airstrikes, which the government has said target Hamas militants operating from civilian areas.
