The executive director of the Trump administration’s National Energy Dominance Council, Jarrod Agen, on Saturday thoroughly praised a series of recent energy-related agreements signed by Athens and Washington.
Agen was speaking at the annual Munich Security Conference, where, among others, he also cited the importance of the so-called “vertical Corridor”, which eyes the transport of US LNG off-loaded in terminals in Greece and funneled north to southeast Europe and the Ukraine.

The top energy adviser also described energy as a tool to achieve peace in Ukraine.
During his address, Agen turned from the podium to congratulate Greek Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou, who was in the audience, citing an adulatory “shout-out”.
He also mentioned that a meeting focusing on the “Vertical Corridor” will take place in Washington D.C. on Feb. 24, with all relevant energy ministers traveling to the United States to discuss more agreements that will make the vertical corridor a reality, as he said. Finally, he said the next meeting on the same issue would take place in Houston, Texas during CERAWeek (March 23-27).
