The festival’s main program unfolds across 3,000 square meters, occupying all exhibition spaces of the museum. The large-scale exhibition presents photographic works alongside projections, archival materials, texts, artists’ publications and installations, expanding the ways photographic images are displayed, interpreted and experienced.

This year’s exhibitions explore a range of interconnected themes, including memory, history and archival practices; kinship and care; place, displacement and collective trauma; the body, visibility and identity; ritual, symbolism and myth; and the relationship between human and non-human life within ecological systems.

In addition to the exhibitions, the festival features an extensive public program designed to encourage dialogue and audience participation. Activities include screenings, educational workshops, portfolio reviews, talks, guided tours and a series of parallel events.

Athens Photo Festival also continues to develop year-round initiatives that support emerging artists, photography publishing, research and community engagement. These include programs dedicated to emerging Greek photographers, photobooks, urban-focused projects and photographic research.
