The annual Antiracist Festival returns to Goudi Park in Athens on July 4–6, once again sending a powerful message of unity, solidarity, and inclusion.

Now in its 26th year, the festival brings together researchers, historians, activists, students, migrants, and artists—singers, dancers, and performers—from across the globe to celebrate diversity through culture, dialogue, and music.

Over three days, music as a universal language of resistance, community, and shared humanity sets the tone. Two music stages will host a vibrant lineup of performers and concerts featuring everything from Kurdish folk and Latin American dance to Crete’s Hainides and the Ubuntu Drum and Dance Group.

Visitors will also have the chance to sample traditional cuisines from more than 15 countries, including Egypt, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, Burkina Faso, South Sudan, Lebanon, Cameroon, Kurdistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, and the Philippines. Prepared by migrant communities, the dishes include vegetarian and vegan options. Tokens for food can be purchased in advance.

Beyond the stage and the food, the festival offers an expansive program of thought-provoking panel discussions, art exhibitions, film screenings, and a dedicated children’s area.

Discussions will focus on timely issues such as institutional racism, war economies, border violence, gender-based oppression, and the history of migrant resistance.

A special exhibition showcases the work of 10 political cartoonists tackling subjects like Palestine, the Tempi train disaster, the Pylos shipwreck, and gender-based violence. With humor and a critical perspective, their satire invites reflection on peace, justice, and the power of resistance.
