Iron Maiden brings its “Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026″ to Athens tonight, taking the stage at the Athens Olympic Stadium. Tens of thousands of fans are expected to descend on the complex, and organizers have released detailed guidance to make sure the night runs as smoothly as the band’s setlist.
When and Where
The show takes place at the Athens Olympic Stadium, part of the Athens Olympic Athletic Center, known by its acronym OAKA. The complex sits in the northern Athens suburb of Marousi and is easily one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Greek capital, having hosted the 2004 Olympic Games.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Anthrax, the legendary American thrash metal band, kicks things off at 7 p.m. Iron Maiden take the stage at 8:40 p.m.
Getting In
Arena ticket holders should use Gate ST (Gate 6) on Spyros Louis Avenue as their primary entry point. Spyros Louis Avenue runs along the exterior of the complex and is signposted from the main approach roads.
Free parking is available off Kymi Avenue. Fans arriving by car should follow signage from that direction to find available spaces.
Accessibility
Dedicated parking bays have been designated for fans with disabilities, along with organized meeting points near the Box Office. Support staff will be on hand to escort visitors to their designated seats. Fans requiring assistance are encouraged to head to the meeting points early.
What to Bring and What to Leave Behind
Rain is in the forecast. Organizers have confirmed the concert will go ahead regardless of the weather, but fans should come prepared. Ponchos and waterproof jackets are welcome. Umbrellas are not permitted inside the venue for safety reasons.
Bags and backpacks larger than A4 size are also banned from the venue. Travel light.
Get There Early
Organizers are urging attendees to arrive well ahead of showtime. With a crowd of this scale, gate queues will be long, and the access points need time to clear. Factor in traffic around Marousi on a Saturday evening, and the advice to arrive early is not a formality.
Tonight promises to be one of the biggest metal events Athens has seen this year. Plan ahead, pack your poncho, and leave the umbrella at home.
