Aegean Airlines, Greece’s private national carrier, is reportedly moving to partially restart its routes to the Middle East, following what it describes as a careful assessment of security conditions and developments in the region.
The carrier is gradually reinstating routes that had been suspended in recent weeks with an aim to restore connectivity with key destinations in the region.
According to the schedule, flights from Athens to Tel Aviv will resume on April 28, followed by a relaunch of the Heraklion (Irakleio)–Tel Aviv route on April 30.
In a second phase, starting May 21, additional routes will return to service, including flights from Larnaca, Cyprus and Rhodes to Tel Aviv. On the same date, flights from Athens to Riyadh and Amman are also scheduled to restart.
The airline said it continues to closely monitor developments and security conditions in the wider region, adding that further announcements will follow if additional routes can be safely reinstated.
