One of Greece’s track-and-field “golden boy”, Emmanouil Karalis, has joined the share structure of Hellenic Wineries Group, the company announced this week, with a relevant announcement referring to a special honor and vote of confidence in the company’s vision and course in the local wine industry.
Karalis won the silver medal with his second-place 6.05-meter jump at the World Indoor Pole Vault Championships in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland, on Saturday, behind world champion Mondo Duplantis, who cleared 6.25 meters.
In a statement, Hellenic Wineries Group’s main shareholder, Ilias Georgiadis, welcomed Karalis, by saying:
“I welcome Manolo to our group. He is a great athlete, but above all a person of integrity and values. I am especially pleased that he is with us. His decision to join and participate in our vision gives us even more motivation to continue expanding our footprint and promoting Greek wine, both domestically and internationally.”
