Canadian activewear brand Lululemon officially opened its first store in Greece on Saturday, May 23, marking the beginning of its expansion into the Greek market through a partnership with Arion Retail Group.
The brand’s arrival generated significant excitement among shoppers, with long queues stretching several meters outside the store entrance throughout the opening weekend. To mark the launch, the first 50 visitors received a special gift from the company.
First Stop: Kolonaki
Located at 17 Akademias Street and Voukourestiou Street in the upscale Kolonaki district of Athens, the first Greek store spans 180 square meters and offers a wide selection of the brand’s apparel and accessories for yoga, Pilates, running, training, golf, tennis, and everyday activewear for both women and men.
The company is already preparing its second Greek location, set to open on June 12 at Golden Hall, one of Athens’ leading shopping destinations in the northern suburb of Marousi. The 290-square-meter store will be spread across two floors and aims to deliver an elevated shopping experience in one of the city’s busiest retail hubs.
The launch of Lululemon’s first stores in Greece reflects the company’s growing focus on Europe as a key region for future growth. Greece becomes the brand’s third new market entry this year, following expansions into Poland and Hungary in March.
The “Power of Three ×2” Growth Strategy
Lululemon has outlined an ambitious five-year growth plan under its “Power of Three ×2” strategy, targeting a doubling of annual revenue to $12.5 billion by the end of 2026.
Central to that strategy is the company’s largest-ever international expansion push. Alongside Greece, Lululemon plans to establish a presence in Austria, Poland, Hungary, and Romania through its partnership with Arion Retail Group, while also entering the Indian market through its previously announced collaboration with Tata CLiQ.
