The situation in the Middle East has become increasingly volatile following Israeli airstrikes early on Friday, June 13, targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. As the regional security landscape grows more uncertain, Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an urgent advisory for Greek nationals currently in Israel.
In an official statement, the ministry urged Greek citizens to remain in safe locations near shelters and to strictly follow the guidance of local authorities. It also noted that Israeli airspace remains closed, with no flights operating to or from Ben Gurion International Airport.

In a video message, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the strikes, stating that the initial attacks were successful and directly targeted facilities linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
“We have carried out initial strikes that were successful, and, with God’s help, we will achieve even more,” said Netanyahu.
He added that the strikes resulted in the deaths of senior Iranian military commanders, though he did not disclose their identities.
Addressing the Israeli public, Netanyahu warned of potential prolonged periods in shelters, urging citizens to prepare for retaliatory attacks and to comply with army-issued public safety measures.
