16-Year-Old Girl Missing in Patras, Authorities Launch Amber Alert

Laura Lomptef disappeared on January 8, last seen in Patras, Greece, possibly traveling to Athens with an adult male; police urge anyone with information to come forward.

A 16-year-old girl, Laura Lomptef, has been reported missing in Patras, Greece, prompting the activation of an Amber Alert. Laura, who moved to Patras from Germany with her family three years ago, was last seen on the morning of January 8, leaving her home in the Rio area to return to school after the Christmas holidays.

Authorities have obtained video footage showing Laura with an adult male, around 60 years old, and another minor girl. Reports suggest she may have traveled to Athens by taxi following this encounter. Investigators are treating the case with urgency due to the involvement of adults and the potential risk to her safety.

Laura reportedly deactivated all her social media and email accounts before leaving home, taking her passport with her. Her parents have made a public appeal, emphasizing that their priority is her safe return.

According to the Amber Alert issued by “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” (The Smile of the Child), Laura is 1.60 meters tall, weighs 50 kilograms, has reddish-blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black jeans, black Adidas sneakers with white stripes, and carrying a grey school bag.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact local police stations, the European Missing Persons hotline, or the Missing Alert app, which provides real-time updates on her case.
