A brief but noticeable shift in weather is expected on Thursday, bringing rain and a drop in temperatures across western, central, and northern Greece, while clearer conditions are set to persist in the rest of the country.

Rainfall will begin in the morning over the northern Ionian Sea and Epirus—northwestern regions of Greece bordering Albania—where scattered thunderstorms may also develop early in the day. By midday, light to moderate rain is forecast across the rest of western Greece, as well as parts of central and northern regions.

By evening, conditions will begin to improve from the west, and overnight any remaining rainfall will gradually come to an end. Clear skies are expected to continue across the rest of the country.

Temperatures will decline slightly, reaching around 28–29°C in western and northern Greece, up to 30°C in other regions, and as high as 31°C in eastern Central Greece and the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece.

In terms of wind conditions, southerly winds in the Ionian Sea will initially blow at 4–6 Beaufort, gradually shifting to northwesterly winds with a weakening trend. In the Aegean Sea, southwesterly winds of 5–6 Beaufort are expected, locally reaching up to 7 Beaufort in southwestern sections.
