Moments of panic unfolded Monday night on Mount Hymettus, when a car traveling suddenly burst into flames.

The incident was captured on video, showing the vehicle being engulfed in flames.

The driver reacted immediately and managed to get out of the vehicle in time without being injured.

Firefighters and officers from the Hellenic Police, along with fire protection personnel from the Dafni-Ymittos Municipality, Civil Protection officials and volunteers were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated response, the fire was brought fully under control within minutes, before it could spread further.

The driver is in good health, while the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
