TO VIMA and TA NEA have joined forces with the Delphi Economic Forum to jointly stage the “Delphi Paris Forum II,” which will address Strategic Cooperation between Greece and France in Security, Energy and European Stability
The conference will take place on January 24, 2025 at the Interalliée Club, Paris, under the auspices of Greece’s Permanent Representation to the OECD and the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
French and Greek government officials and policy makers, economic experts, academics and leading members of the business community will meet in Paris again this year to cement the long-standing friendship between their nations and discuss ways in which to expand cooperation in areas ranging from security to defense, energy, migration, demographic challenges and cultural exchanges.
The meeting acquires especial significance as geopolitical developments and global challenges make the need for closer cooperation between the two countries imperative.
Discussions will focus on critical issues of concern to our region, such as strengthening security and stability, promoting green energy and sustainable development, addressing the challenges of migration and demographic change, and enhancing cultural exchange.
The expected results include a renewed commitment to cooperation and the identification of concrete action points to enhance regional stability, economic prosperity, cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two nations.
The list of speakers from France includes inter alia: Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe; Gabriela Ramos, Deputy Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO; Valentina Superti, Director of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission; Álvaro Pereira, Chief Economist and G20 Finance Deputy of the OECD; and François De Ricolfis, Head of the Regional Economic Service in the French Embassy for Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania.
