Lifeguard Revives Unconscious 2.5-Year-Old Girl

A tragedy was narrowly avoided at Polychrono, in Halkidiki, thanks to a lifeguard who saved the life of a girl just 2.5 years old. The child was pulled unconscious from the sea by beachgoers, causing alarm among those nearby.

According to thestival.gr, the beach’s lifeguard rushed to the scene immediately and administered first aid. Thanks to his prompt and effective response, the girl regained consciousness.

Transferred to Hippokrateio Hospital

An EKAB ambulance arrived shortly after and took the child to the Kassandreia Health Center for initial medical care. Doctors determined further treatment and testing were needed, so the girl was transferred to Thessaloniki’s General Hospital “Hippokrateio,” where she underwent the necessary medical exams to assess her condition.
