Greek authorities are investigating a high-value burglary in the northern city of Thessaloniki, where nearly €300,000 was reportedly stolen from a real estate office in a carefully executed break-in.
According to the complaint, unknown perpetrators targeted the office located in the eastern part of the city, using a so-called “rififi” method — a term used for burglaries involving forced entry through structural openings rather than doors or windows.
The owner of the business discovered the break-in within the past 24 hours after noticing a hole in one of the office walls. The unusual entry point immediately raised alarm, prompting a call to the police.
Investigators believe the intruders entered the premises through the opening and accessed a safe inside the office. The stolen amount is reported to be €297,000, with no visible signs of forced entry on doors or other access points.
The case has been assigned to the local Criminal Investigation Department in Thessaloniki, which is examining all available evidence in an effort to identify those responsible.
