Greek police have arrested three individuals in the Attica region in connection with an alleged drug trafficking operation, following a coordinated investigation that led to the seizure of significant quantities of cannabis and cocaine.

The suspects, aged 38, 52, and 67, include two foreign nationals and one Greek citizen. They were detained during targeted operations carried out on Saturday evening after authorities acted on intelligence reports.

Drugs found during coordinated operation

According to the police, the 38-year-old was initially found transporting 33 packaged doses of cocaine in a vehicle, weighing a total of 15 grams. The drugs had reportedly been supplied shortly before his arrest by the 52-year-old suspect.

Shortly afterwards, officers arrested the 52-year-old, who was found in possession of 61 additional packages of cocaine weighing 119.5 grams, as well as over one kilogram of raw cannabis hidden in a sealed plastic bag.

Investigators say the drugs were intended for distribution and were linked to the 67-year-old suspect.

Major seizure at residence

A subsequent search at a residence led to the arrest of the 67-year-old man. Police discovered 11 packages of raw cannabis at the property, weighing more than 14 kilograms.

In total, authorities seized approximately 15.3 kilograms of cannabis and 134.5 grams of cocaine during searches of vehicles and the residence.

Cash, equipment, and vehicles confiscated

Alongside the drugs, police also confiscated more than €20,800 in cash, $165 in US currency, seven mobile phones, precision scales, packaging materials, and two vehicles.

Authorities estimate that the group could have made over €77,500 from the alleged distribution of the drugs.

Prior criminal history under investigation

Police stated that all three suspects had previously been investigated for similar offences, while one of them was reportedly already subject to legal restrictions at the time of the arrest.

The three men have been referred to the competent public prosecutor as the investigation continues.
