A Turkish-flagged motor yacht ran aground in the Eastern Aegean, between the islands of Oinousses and Chios near small islets called Prasonisia.
As a result, water has ingressed into the vessel, which was carrying five people on board.
According to a statement from the Hellenic Coast Guard, all passengers are safe and no injuries have been reported so far.
Authorities are closely monitoring the condition of the vessel.
Two Coast Guard patrol boats have been dispatched to the area to provide assistance and assess the extent of the damage sustained by the Turkish vessel.
Prasonisia are just 2-3 nautical miles from Oinousses, 4-5 from Chios and 1-2 from the Turkish Coast.
