Giannis Antetokounmpo has publicly shown his support for Greek Eurovision representative Akylas following the conclusion of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.
Although Greece finished in 10th place in this year’s competition, Antetokounmpo made it clear who his personal favorite was. The NBA star shared a photo of Akylas performing on stage on social media, adding the caption: “My winner.”
Akylas represented Greece with the song Ferto, which earned a total of 220 points in the Grand Final. Greece received 73 points from national juries, placing 12th in that vote, before gaining an additional 147 points from the public televote, enough to secure a top-10 finish.
The singer’s journey has attracted attention in Greece and abroad. According to the report, Akylas had been performing as a street musician only months before appearing on the Eurovision stage.
