Μake us preferred on Google Greece’s national soccer team is looking for its third win in the Nations League on Thursday, as it takes on the Netherlands at 9:45 p.m. at a packed Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki.
The match against “Oranje” comes after the Greek team’s impressive start to this year’s tournament, picking up two straight road wins against Serbia (2-1) and Germany (1-0). Those results put Greece at the top of Group 2 in League A.
The next big challenge comes on Thursday night (October 1), when Iván Jovanović’s squad faces Xavi Hernández’s Netherlands with the goal of making it three wins out of three. A victory would bring Greece even closer to a spot in the tournament’s quarterfinals.
The last time Greece went head to head with Oranje was at the EURO 2024 qualifiers where the former lost both matches.
The game will be broadcasted on ALPHA and Novasports Start. Fans can also follow the game live through SPORT24’s Matchcenter.
