Olympiacos to Face Nijmegen in UEFA CL 3rd Qualifying Round

Should Olympiacos advance to the UEFA Champions League group stage, the runner's up of the Greek Super league would enter the league phase.

Olympiacos Piraeus have been drawn against Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, with the first leg scheduled at Karaiskakis Stadium in Faliro on August 4 or 5 and the return leg in the Netherlands on August 11 or 12.

A win would send Olympiacos into the play-off round, where they would be placed in the unseeded pot. Their potential opponents at that stage would be either the winner of the Sparta Prague versus Lyon tie or the winner of the Union Saint-Gilloise versus Bodø/Glimt tie, with those matches scheduled for August 18-19 and 25-26.

Should Olympiacos advance to the Champions League group stage, they would enter the league phase. If eliminated at either the third qualifying round or the play-offs, they would drop into the Europa League league phase.
