Olympiacos star defender Rodinei appears to have found a new favorite Greek song.
The Brazilian full-back and winger, whose attempts to learn Greek through music have become a recurring social media theme, has posted another Instagram story showing himself singing “Athina Mou” by Greek pop star Konstantinos Argyros, delighting followers witnessing his gradual immersion into the local language and culture.

The latest performance follows Rodinei’s widely publicized fondness for “Panselinos,” a hit by Despina Vandi that became closely associated with the player during Olympiacos’ title celebrations and a series of social media posts that went viral among Greek football fans. Rodinei has repeatedly performed the song at public appearances and even took part in a tribute to Vandi during locally held music awards, cementing his reputation as one of the most enthusiastic foreign ambassadors of contemporary Greek pop music.
The popular Brazilian veteran’s affection for Greek music has generated extensive coverage in both sports and entertainment media, with Rodinei often using popular songs to practice Greek phrases and engage with supporters. In interviews, he has spoken warmly about life in Greece and his connection with Olympiacos, while television appearances have frequently highlighted his unexpected familiarity with Greek pop culture.
On the field, Rodinei has become a key figure since joining Olympiacos in 2023. The attack-minded right-back played an important role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s recent history, helping the Piraeus side secure domestic honors and to establish itself among Europe’s leading clubs outside the traditional elite.
Rodinei was part of the Olympiacos squad that won the 2024 Conference League Championship 1-0 against Fiorentina.
His latest musical selection has already prompted speculation among fans about which Greek hit might be next on the Brazilian’s growing playlist. For now, however, “Athina Mou” appears to have replaced “Panselinos” as the soundtrack to Rodinei’s continuing Greek language education.
