The beauty of Greece, its attractions, customs, people and history travel the globe thanks to a new video released this week and jointly produced by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and streaming giant Netflix.

The aim of the project, said the GNTO, is to promote Greece as a leading tourism destination through the power of storytelling. The video features shots from popular shows, series or films now airing on Netflix that are either produced in Greece or feature Greek locations including “Maestro in Blue”. “A perfect Story”, “Beckett”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” and “Lighthouse Lesvos”.

According to the GNTO, the campaign aims to promote Greece as a premier travel destination by harnessing the power of cinematic storytelling. The effort is part of a broader partnership forged last year, under which Netflix pledged to support Greek tourism by leveraging its international platform and productions shot in Greek locales.

The new video will be used by the GNTO across a range of promotional channels to strengthen Greece’s tourism appeal and inspire travelers from around the globe to experience the country firsthand.
