Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki is reported to be in excellent condition after undergoing surgery at Evangelismos General Hospital, where she has been hospitalized since April 17.
According to an official medical statement issued by the hospital, she was admitted with severe abdominal pain and subsequently underwent a successful laparotomy to treat an intestinal obstruction caused by adhesions. Following the procedure, she returned to her hospital room in excellent condition.
The wife of the Prime Minister had initially reported mild discomfort during a road trip to Larissa, in central Greece, and visited a private clinic as a precaution. At the time, tests did not indicate anything concerning, and she was discharged.
She was later admitted to Evangelismos for further evaluation, where her condition was reassessed, leading to the surgical intervention.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the hospital on Saturday and on Friday afternoon, where he remained there for approximately two hours before leaving later in the evening.
Doctors are continuing to monitor her recovery following the successful procedure.
