Tax authorities are cross-checking the financial data from Anna Vissi’s major concert at OAKA, examining not only tickets and revenue but the entire financial chain connected to the event.

The auditors’ interest has grown following reports and public statements about the concert’s financial results, with published estimates even pointing to losses of around €3 to €4 million. The cross-checks focus on whether these amounts appear in the official tax and accounting records, whether the corresponding invoices and entries exist, and whether all related transactions have been properly declared.

According to sources with knowledge of the matter, auditors from the DEOS team have been instructed at a central level to carry out extensive cross-checks to determine whether the published figures match the data submitted to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).

Tickets, POS and myDATA in Focus

The audit is expected to start with the tickets. Auditors will compare the number of tickets sold with the electronic sales data, POS card payments and the records submitted to myDATA.

The goal is to determine whether the turnover reported across these different sources matches completely and whether the sales revenue has been recorded as required.

At the same time, the tax authorities are also looking at production costs, fees paid to artists and collaborators, contracts and invoices, as well as bank transactions linked to the organization of the concert.

Nikos Karvelas’s Fee

The investigation into Nikos Karvelas’s fee is also of particular interest, as there have been public reports about its size. Auditors will need to determine whether the fee has been properly declared and whether it matches the relevant receipts and accounting entries.

As part of the cross-checks, auditors are expected to examine, among other things, the contracts and invoices linked to the concert’s production and collaborators, to determine whether the amounts shown in the official records reflect the actual transactions.

Earlier Concerts and a Reported €500,000 Loan

The audits are not limited to this concert at OAKA. The cross-checks also cover earlier major concerts by Anna Vissi, including those at the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro) and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, to determine whether the financial data and declared amounts are consistent with those of the recent event.

The tax authorities are also examining public reports about a €500,000 loan. In this case, they are expected to look for the related agreements, accounting entries and the path the money took through the banking system.

The cross-checks are ongoing. The auditors aim to establish whether the amounts reported publicly reflect the concert’s actual financial data and whether they have been recorded and declared in line with the required procedures.
