Jack Savoretti will launch his biggest European tour to date in Athens on Sept. 25, when the British-Italian singer takes the stage at Lycabettus Theater, one of the Greek capital’s best-known open-air concert venues.
Savoretti has expressed his excitement about returning to Greece and beginning the tour in Athens, where he has developed a strong connection with Greek audiences. The concert will feature songs from his new album, We Will Always Be The Way We Were, alongside some of the hits that have become favorites among his Greek fans.
“I’m excited. I mean, essentially we start the tour in Athens,” Savoretti said in an interview with the Greek television program Koinonia Ora Mega. “I think we have one or two shows before, but this will be the biggest tour I’ve ever done.”
The singer described the upcoming run as his biggest European tour, as well as his largest tour in the United Kingdom. He also welcomed the decision to begin the tour in Athens.
“To start in Athens is perfect,” he said.
The Lycabettus performance will also introduce audiences to the sound of Savoretti’s latest album. We Will Always Be The Way We Were features a more “lively” and direct sound while marking a return to the musical roots that have shaped the artist’s work.
For Greek fans, the Athens concert will combine new material with familiar songs, offering an opportunity to hear Savoretti’s latest musical direction while revisiting some of the tracks that have resonated with audiences in Greece.
