All eyes are on Klavdia, Greece’s representative in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025, as she prepares to take the stage in Basel’s St. Jakobshalle Arena with her emotional entry “Asteromata.” The 22-year-old singer will be seventh in the running order among the 16 participating countries, all competing for 10 coveted spots in Saturday’s grand final.
A Song with Deep Roots and Emotional Power
“Asteromata” is a deeply personal song that draws inspiration from the history of the Pontic Greek population and their forced displacement—a topic that holds personal significance for Klavdia, who herself has Pontic heritage. The song combines traditional Greek musical elements with a modern emotional resonance that has already struck a chord with audiences.
Klavdia’s journey to the Eurovision stage began in Aspropyrgos, Attica, where she discovered her love for music early on. At just 15, she was a finalist on “The Voice of Greece” under the mentorship of Helena Paparizou. She made her recording debut in 2020 with “Lonely Heart,” and has since worked with Panik Records and the Arcade production team, releasing successful singles like “Charamata”, “Vasanizomai”, and “Magevena.”

Although she attempted to represent Greece in 2023 with “Holy Water”, it is this year that her dream has come true, and she’s doing it with a track that carries both national pride and personal meaning.
