Tony Blair assumes the role of Senior Advisor to the Antenna Group, in view of preparations for the Europe–Gulf Forum, which will take place in May 2026 in Greece. This collaboration comes at a time when Antenna is dynamically expanding its international presence, implementing the vision of its President, Theodore Kyriakou, to strengthen dialogue and credible information worldwide.

The Europe–Gulf Forum is organized by the Antenna Group in cooperation with the Atlantic Council, the leading U.S. think tank. This strategic initiative has received strong support from political and business leaders of Europe and the Gulf. It constitutes yet another important platform for dialogue promoted by Antenna, bringing together political, business, and institutional leaders with the aim of fostering sustained and meaningful cooperation between Europe and the Gulf — two pivotal regions jointly shaping a framework of geopolitical and investment opportunities.

At the same time, the Antenna Group is steadily expanding its presence in Europe and the United States, supported by a strong capital base and a successful 30-year track record of international media investment and growth. In this context, Tony Blair’s unique geopolitical experience is expected to add substantial value to the Antenna Group.

Theodore Kyriakou, President of the Antenna Group, stated: “We are particularly pleased to welcome Tony Blair as Senior Advisor to the Antenna Group. His extensive experience in managing critical international issues, his deep diplomatic knowledge, and our shared values — integrity and connecting people in pursuit of progress — constitute a valuable asset for us. His appointment strengthens the strategic scope of the Europe–Gulf Forum, an initiative we organize in cooperation with the Atlantic Council, reflecting our firm belief that dialogue fosters trust, creates opportunities, and brings people and countries closer together. Our common goal is to shape a platform with a clear outlook and meaningful impact for Europe, the Gulf, and the entire world.”

Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, stated: “The Europe–Gulf Forum is a particularly important and timely initiative, and I look forward to working closely with Theodore Kyriakou and the Antenna Group to deliver it, with the aim of bringing Europe and the Gulf closer together. At a time of increasing global polarization, Antenna is leading efforts to connect societies and reduce rivalries. The Forum represents a meaningful initiative for the future. Europe and the Gulf share deep strategic interests and have significant scope for cooperation.”

About Tony Blair

Tony Blair served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007, completing three consecutive terms and becoming the only Labor Party leader in the party’s history to win three general elections.

During his decade in office, he implemented an extensive domestic reform program combined with stable economic growth and record levels of employment. Through significant investments and structural reforms, performance in education and healthcare improved substantially, while crime was reduced by approximately one third. At the same time, a program of social and constitutional reforms reshaped the United Kingdom’s political landscape. His government established the Department for International Development, tripled British development aid to Africa, and enacted landmark legislation to address climate change.

Internationally, he played a decisive role in achieving the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, which brought decades of conflict in Northern Ireland to an end.

After leaving office, he remained active in international affairs, with particular emphasis on Africa and the Middle East. He has supported initiatives for peace and regional cooperation in the Middle East, including efforts toward de-escalation following the recent conflict in Gaza and the promotion of a sustainable, long-term political solution. His work has also focused on normalizing relations between Israel and Arab states, contributing to the momentum that led to the Abraham Accords in 2020.

In 2016, he founded the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, a nonprofit organization that works with political leaders around the world to advance reform. The Institute provides specialized advice on strategy, public policy, and implementation, leveraging the power of technology to create more open, inclusive, and prosperous societies. Today, it operates in more than 40 countries worldwide.
