  • 3 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 2 thick slices of bacon (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 2 tbsp balsamic cream
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan or Parmesan shavings (for serving)

Directions

  1. Preheat the convection oven to 200°C.

  2. Wash and dry the Brussels sprouts.

  3. Cut them in half lengthwise and place them in a baking tray.

  4. Sprinkle the sprouts with salt, pepper, chopped onion, and bacon.

  5. Drizzle with olive oil and toss everything together with your hands to ensure even coating.

  6. Spread the mixture in a single layer on the tray to ensure even roasting.

  7. Place the tray in the preheated oven and roast for 30 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are golden and the bacon is crispy.

  8. Stir once halfway through to ensure even cooking.

  9. Remove the tray from the oven and drizzle the roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic cream. Toss gently to coat.

  10. Serve hot as a side dish with roasted meat or poultry, or enjoy them on their own as an appetizer.

  11. Garnish with Parmesan shavings or grated Parmesan for a delicious finish.
