A wedding celebration in Kalymnos, a Greek island in the southeastern Aegean Sea, ended in tragedy after a 57-year-old man died following a firework explosion during the event.
According to initial reports, the man was holding a firework known locally as dynamite when it suddenly exploded in his hands while he was at the wedding reception. The force of the blast caused severe injuries, including traumatic amputation.
Emergency medical services were immediately called to the scene and transported the critically injured man to hospital. Despite medical efforts, his condition was extremely serious, and he died shortly after arriving to the hospital.
