A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday in Kalavryta, a mountain town in the Peloponnese region, when a 55-year-old British tourist lost his life inside the local hospital while accompanying his wife.
The couple had been on holiday when the woman suddenly fell ill. Her husband immediately rushed her to the Kalavryta hospital so she could receive medical care from doctors on duty.
While the woman was recovering in a hospital bed and her husband remained by her side, the 55-year-old suddenly collapsed in front of her, shocking medical staff and those present.
Doctors and nurses rushed to provide first aid, making intensive efforts to revive him. Despite their repeated attempts, his death was confirmed a short time later.
