Greece is in for a chilly start to the new week, as cold temperatures, frost, and strong northern winds dominate the weather pattern.

On Monday, light local rain is expected in areas from Thessaly southward, including eastern Central Greece, the Peloponnese, and parts of the Aegean. Scattered showers may also affect the northern Aegean islands, Evia, the Cyclades, Crete, and Kastellorizo. Meanwhile, northern Greece will remain mostly cloudy, while western regions will enjoy clearer skies and slightly milder temperatures.

Daytime temperatures will struggle to reach 9–10°C in northern and eastern mainland Greece, while western and southern regions may see highs of 13–14°C.

Winds will blow from the east at 4–6 Beaufort in the Ionian, while strong northern winds of 5–7 Beaufort will persist over the Aegean.
