A charred body was discovered inside a house following a fire that broke out on Wednesday morning in northern Greece, according to local reports.
The incident occurred in a residential property in the village of Despoti, in the regional unit of Grevena, prompting a major response from the fire service.
Based on initial information, the fire may have been caused by the explosion of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder. Firefighters who arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze found the victim’s body inside the house.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, while officials are also working to confirm the victim’s identity.
