Expect abundant sunshine across most regions. Some cloud cover may form early in the day over the Cyclades and the Dodecanese islands, and later in the afternoon over the mountainous areas of central and northern mainland Greece.

While a slight drop in temperature is expected in the Ionian and western mainland, eastern areas including the Aegean islands will experience slightly higher temperatures (by 1–2°C) compared to Monday.

Winds:
Winds will blow mainly from the west across the western and southern parts of the country, and from the northwest in the east. In the afternoon, winds will shift to southwesterly directions in the eastern regions. Speeds will range from 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in the central and southern seas.

  • Athens (Attica): Sunny throughout the day. Winds from the west-northwest at 3–5 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 6 Beaufort in the west. Southerly winds may develop briefly in the east and south of the region during midday and afternoon hours. Temperatures will range from 24°C to 39°C.
  • Thessaloniki: Clear skies. Winds will shift from the northwest to the southeast during the afternoon, with speeds of 2–4 Beaufort. The temperature will range between 22°C and 38°C.

Looking Ahead:

  • Wednesday (July 9): A small drop in temperatures will continue in the west, while high temperatures persist in the east and the Aegean.
  • Thursday (July 10): A notable drop in temperature by up to 10°C is expected, particularly in northern and western Greece, offering temporary relief.
