Greek police have arrested a 41-year-old man in the Neos Kosmos district of Athens who was wanted by Turkish authorities on charges including drug trafficking, robbery, and theft.

According to the Hellenic Police, the suspect—identified as a foreign national—was detained on the morning of December 12 by officers from the department responsible for tracking wanted persons. The arrest was carried out after an international warrant issued by Turkey was confirmed.

Authorities say the man is accused of managing a cannabis plantation involving 113 plants in Turkey in August 2017. He is also linked to earlier criminal cases, including a robbery at company offices in 2014 and the theft of boat engines in 2009, as well as property damage.

Following his arrest, the suspect was brought before the competent public prosecutor, who will oversee the next steps in the legal process in line with international procedures.

The case adds to a series of recent arrests in Greece involving individuals sought by foreign authorities under international warrants, highlighting ongoing cooperation between Greek police and international law enforcement agencies.
