A sudden disturbance unfolded in the center of Patras, Greece, when a young man was bitten by a snake near a garbage bin.

According to reports cited by tempo24.news, the reptile had likely hidden inside the bin when the young man went to dispose of his trash. At that moment, the snake reportedly sprang out and bit him, triggering panic both in the victim and nearby residents.

The young man, a university student, was immediately taken to the University Hospital of Patras. According to the same sources, his condition is stable and he is expected to be discharged on Monday.

Experts believe the snake likely belongs to a low-toxicity species. Those familiar with reptiles suggest it may have been attracted to the area in search of food, possibly sensing rodents near the bin before entering it.

Fortunately, the student is in good condition, and despite the shock and disruption caused in the city center, the incident ended without serious consequences.
