Toxicology tests have been completed in relation to the shocking death of 19-year-old woman on the Ionian Sea Island of Kefalonia, revealing the presence of multiple substances beyond cocaine that significantly increased combined toxicity.

According to findings, traces of cocaine, cannabis and alcohol were detected in the victim’s blood. Experts said the interaction of these substances can amplify their toxic effects, effectively creating what they describe as a “chemical bomb” in the body.

The case was initially treated as a sudden and unexplained death, prompting a full forensic investigation, including toxicology tests. Early findings pointed to drug use, but the full extent of substance interaction only became clear after laboratory results were finalized.

Three men (aged 26, 23, and 22) have been identified as suspects and were arrested in connection with the 19-year-old’s death. They are facing felony-level charges, including voluntary manslaughter, and have appeared (or are due to appear) before judicial authorities. Authorities are investigating their actions before and after the young woman lost consciousness, including allegations they failed to provide timely assistance and may have abandoned her.
